I found this yarn in my stash, and I am so in love with it. This yarn is called Sister by Knit Collage. It is super chunky, soft, and smells like sheep. It has some unevenness in the texture which gives it, it’s character. The color of the yarn is a pale blush color. I love colors that can play off as a neutral. This one definitely can do that. I used the pattern Laser, to make this cowl, and I literally completed it in 2 hours. It doesn’t take long to knit something with size 17 circular needles with a chunky yarn like this one. Quick side note. The Laser cowl pattern calls for size 15 needles, but I used size 17. The pattern tells you to cast on 70 stitches I casted on 90. The pattern called for Rasta, when I used Sister which has about 20 more yards. Anyway, I love this yarn. The sheep smell. The blush neutral color. The uneven texture. The chunkiness. I quickly transformed this yarn to a cowl in 2 hours. I weaved in the ends and sewed on the button. I hand knit this for a Christmas present, but now I wish I could keep it for myself.
Hey there Knitters,
I wanted to let you all know two things. The first thing is that I am still in search for the perfect tumblr theme for tis blog. For some reason, I can not get this blog to look visually pleasing and I still have not found a look to this blog that represents me. So please bare with me while I play around to find the absolute best look for this blog.
I also have decided that I am not going to Reblog anymore inspiration photos. Instead I am going to use this blog strictly for a way to display my own work. This will become my artistic portfolio where I will display my hand knitted pieces and other works of art, in hopes to inspire you.
Thanks for following!
xoxo C&S
